Joey Steigelman is an Associate Vice President, Object Research Manager & Product Lead in the Post-War & Contemporary Art department at Christie's. Prior to joining Christie's, Joey worked at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Jasper Johns Catalogue Raisonne of Drawings Project at the Menil Collection. Previous to this, she interned in the Painting and Sculpture Department at the Museum of Modern Art as well as for the artist Robert Rauschenberg. In 2008 Joey received an art history scholarship from The Dedalus Foundation for her research and writing on Marcel Duchamp. She has exhibited her work at the Museum of Modern Art as part of a juried student art competition, and has completed courses in advanced drawing and painting at Parsons and Pratt. Since 2018, she has served on the advisory board of Rutgers University’s Design Thinking program. Joey holds a bachelor's degree in art history from New York University.
